Ajimobi Advocates Media Reform As Editors Converged To Elect New Excos

Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State today advocates  for media reform convention to check the threat to the practise of Journalism in Nigeria.

Ajimobi made the call in a speech delivered at the 2013 convention of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) held at the Premier Hotel

According to him, quacks infiltration and online journalism have become threat to newspaper publication in Nigeria

Ajimobi who asked the media men to play by the rules in electing new executives for the Guild, added that professionals must take charge in the affairs of the media

In his valedictory Speech, Gbenga Adefaye thanked the Guild for their resolve for good leadership in Nigeria

 Media executives have converged on Ibadan to elect their new executives with last minute campaign

The Presidency is being contested between Mr Femi Adesina and Tukur Abdulrahman while Silverbird's Mustapha Isa is vying for the post of Assistant General Secretary of the Guild.
