ONI APPEALS TO WARRING PDP FACTIONS IN OYO TO CLOSE RANKS

The National Vice Chairman Southwest of Peoples Democratic Party, Segun Oni today called on warring factions in Oyo state chapter of the party to close ranks in order to send the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) government packing in 2015.

Segun Oni said that the leadership of the party frowns at parallel leadership in the state adding that the faction of Jumoke Akinjide and Taofeek Arapaja should work with other faction ahead of the local government polls and 2015 elections.

Oni gave the charge while speaking at the Oyo state secretariat of the party where he sued for peace for meaningful electoral victory to be achieved

Engr Segun Oni assured that the National leadership of the party will accommodate all interests in the party in order to ensure that everyone is comfortable in the party.

The National Vice Chairman noted that the people of the state are not happy with the ruling party in the state owing to what he called non-performance saying only a united party will be able to oust the Governor Abiola Ajimobi government in 2015.

Recall that the PDP in Oyo state is polarized along the Alao-Akala faction and the Jumoke-Akinjide and Taofeek Arapaja faction who are divided on those willing to conceed the leadership of the party to Accord Party leader, Senator Rashidi Ladoja.
