Senate President, Senator David Mark, has described the death of former Deputy Governor of old Ondo State, Chief Akin Omoboriowo, as the sudden loss of a compassionate and resourceful political leader.
Senator Mark also in mourning the death of former administrator of the old Western Region, Dr. Moses Adekoyejo Majekodunmi, said the foremost nationalist lived a fulfilled life.
He further commiserated with the Acting Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, over the death of his mother, Hajia Aisha on Wednesday in Cairo hospital after a brief illness.
Reacting to the death of the Second Republic politician, Senator Mark said the late Omoboriowo "was an active politician who shared the vision of founding fathers for a united and indivisible nation.
He urged the Government and people of Ekiti and Ondo states to take solace in the contributions made by Omoboriowo to the respective states during his lifetime.
Senator Mark who was sadden on the news of Dr. Majekodunmi said the renowned medical doctor and former minister of health in the First Republic, died a fulfilled man who dedicated his life to the service of humanity.
On the IGP's mother, he prayed God to give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
