The Independent National
Electoral Commission has extended by two days the Continuous Voter Registration
in all states under the third phase of the exercise except Adamawa.
This means that the exercise
will now end on Wednesday in Lagos, Kano, Edo, Ogun, Plateau and Imo states.
The Chairman of INEC, Professor
Attahiru Jega said he approved the extension to make up for the initial
challenges in the exercise and enable many eligible voters to register.
He advised the people against
engaging in multiple registration which is a criminal offence.
