The All
Progressives Congress has expressed shock over the defection of former Ogun
State Governor, Chief Olusegun Osoba and others in Ogun state to the Social
Democratic Party.
The party
however said the defection would not affect the overall chances of the APC in
the state.
The party’s
spokesman, Alhaji Lai Mohammed in a statement expressed the hope that the
defecting members will reconsider their decision and beat a quick retreat.
According to
him, every party member is important to its overall success, but none is more
important than the party, adding that no member can hold the APC to ransom.
Alhaji
admitted that the defection would create some challenges for the APC, but they
would go back to the drawing board to restrategise to retain Ogun state in
twenty fifteen.
