Vice President Namadi Sambo is
presiding over a meeting of stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party under the auspices of the G84 which commenced at State House, Abuja.
Also part of the meeting are Zonal Chairmen of the
PDP and Chairmen of States that are not controlled by the ruling Party.
The meeting is the latest in the series of fence
mending measures to resolve disputes between contending groups in the ruling
party.
On Wednesday night, President Jonathan presided over a meeting with the
Principal Officers of the National Assembly which shut the media out.
But that meeting was probably geared more towards
ironing out areas in dispute in the 2013 budget than to resolving disputes
within the party.
