30 Billion Dollars Is Not Missing From Excess Crude Account - Okonjo Iweala Blasts Oshiomhole

The Federal Government has described as untrue the allegations by Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole that the sum of thirty billion dollars was missing from the Excess Crude Account.

The Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala said in a statement by her Special Adviser on Communications, Paul Nwabuikwu, that the allegation was shocking.

Okonjo-Iweala said the comments reflect the unfortunate tendency of some political players to politicise the management of the economy on the basis of half-truths and sundry distortions.

Governor Oshiomhole had on Thursday accused the Federal Government of failing to account for about thirty billion dollars that had accrued to the excess crude account in the last three years.
