Nigerian Army Sentences 54 Soldiers To Death

A Nigerian Army court martial has sentenced fifty four soldiers to death for refusing to fight Boko Haram militants in the North-East.

The soldiers were convicted on a two-count charge of criminal conspiracy to commit mutiny.

Four others were however acquitted.

The convicted soldiers were accused of refusing to help recapture three towns that were seized by Boko Haram in August.
