The Judiciary Staff Union
of Nigeria, JUSUN has declared an indefinite strike to commence January second,
twenty fourteen.
The Union alleged that all
the thirty six state governors had deliberately resisted the implementation of
a Federal High Court judgement to put judiciary funds under the first line
charge.
JUSUN, in a statement
signed by its National President, Marwan Adamu, and National Assistant
Secretary, Placidus Nnamani, said none of the parties served with the order of
the court had appealed against it till date.
The Union argued that
refusal to implement the court judgement was frustrating the independence of
the judiciary.
