APC Raises Alarm Over Plot By INEC To Deny Its Registration As Political Party

The African People’s Congress APC has raised alarm over plot by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC to deny it registration as a political party.

At a news conference in Abuja , the APC leadership led by Onyinye Ikeagwuonu uncovered a purported letter by INEC aimed at denying the African People’s Congress for registration as a political party.

Ikeagwuonu accused the merger group of plotting with INEC to rub APC of its deserved registration.

According to the embattled APC leadership, the reason given by INEC was the failure of the APC to disclosed the addresses of its leadership in line with section 222 (a) of the 1999 constitution, a claim which APC denied.

The African People’s Congress therefore vowed to take legal action against INEC should it forward the purported letter to it.
