The family of the
late eminent jurist and former Supreme Court Justice Obakayode Eso who died on
November 16 in Hammersmith Hospital, London yesterday announced one
week burial programme which include the burial date of Friday, December 21 in
Ilesa, Osun State after the Funeral Service at the Cathedral Church of
Holy Trinity , Omofe, Ilesa .
In a statement
signed by Mrs. Funmilayo Eso Williams for the family, titled: "Re- Burial
Ceremony of the Hon. Justice Kayode Eso JSC, CON,LLD, LITT.D, FNIALS,
CFR", the dates of the funeral ceremony our of our late
husband, father and grandfather are as follows:
"Service of Songs at His Residence ' Greenacres Agodi. Ikolaba,
Ibadan on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 5.00pm. On Tuesday, December 18
2012, there will be another Service of Songs at the same place by 5.00pm while
it will be the turn of Bodija International School, 1-5 Tunde Lakanmi , off
Osuntokun Avenue, Bodija, Ibadan for another Service of Songs on
Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 5.00pm".
The statement
added that, " Christian Wake Keeping will hold at the Anglican Church of
the Risen Christ and at His Residence Oke Omi Iru, Osogbo Road, Ilesa on
Thursday, December 20th 2012 at 5.00pm.
" Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 21, 2012 at the Cathedral
Church of Holy Trinity Omofe, Ilesa at 10.00am. Outing Service will be held at
the Anglican Church of the Risen Christ, Oke Omi Iru, Osogbo Road, Ilesa at
10,00am", the statement concluded.
Justice Eso was survived by his wife, Mrs. Helen Aina Eso, Mrs. Funmilayo
Eso William, Olumide Eso,his children as well as his grandchildren.
