Reps Threatens To Impeach President Jonathan; Rejects State Of Emergency Extension

Some members of the House of Representatives were seen today signing a document they called an impeachment notice against President Jonathan.

The aggrieved Lawmakers said it was an impeachment offence for the President to allegedly direct security agencies to lock out the Speaker from the National Assembly.
The House of Representatives has rejected President Jonathan’S request for emergency rule extension in Yobe, Borno and Adamawa states.

The House Speaker, Zakari Mohammed said the President has been advised to rely on some sections of the constitution to deploy troops in the states ravaged by Boko Haram activities.
