The Borno state government
has said it would enlist the services of local vigilantes called the Civilian
JTF to provide security in public schools.
The public schools are
expected to re-open today after being shut in March due to security challenges.
Chairman of the committee
on resuscitation of primary school education in the state, Mohammed Dongel said
the vigilantes had already been contacted to provide surveillance in all schools.
He also said perimeter
fencing had also been provided in public schools to prevent security breach.
