APC Vows To Go Ahead With Campaign In Okrika Rivers State

The APC in Rivers state says it will still hold its governorship campaign rally in the volatile Okrika area of the state despite an attack by unknown gunmen who unleashed mayhem on party supporters on Tuesday.

The State APC Chairman, Doctor Davis Ikanya told newsmen in Port Harcourt that since Okrika was part of Port Harcourt, it was paramount for the party to speak to the people of the area about the programme of its governorship candidate.

Doctor Ikanya said it was wrong to prevent other political parties other than the Peoples Democratic Party from campaigning in Okrika, adding that the APC would not be intimidated.
