The commemorative one
hundred naira note unveiled recently by President Jonathan has gone into
circulation.
The Head of Corporate Communications
of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Ibrahim Mu’azu, who announced this in a
statement in Abuja said all branches of the apex bank have been directed to
commence the issuance of the currency.
He said the commemorative
note which retains the portrait of Chief Obafemi Awolowo will circulate
alongside the existing one hundred naira note.
