A Coroners’
inquest instituted by the Lagos State Government to investigate the third of June,
twenty twelve, Dana plane crash has concluded hearing but did not give a
definite verdict on the cause of the crash.
The
Coroner, Oyetade Komolafe, said he could not give a verdict on the crash due to
the absence of the Accident Investigation Bureau report.
He said
the testimony of the pathologist, Professor John Obafunwa, however, showed that
one hundred and fifty-three passengers died in the crash which occurred at
Iju-Ishaga area of Lagos.
The
coroner also noted that the bodies of both the pilot and co-pilot could not be
identified to ascertain whether they were under the influence of alcohol.
