NGO Organizes Football Tourney To Fight Illiteracy



Corporate bodies have been assured that funds donated for sports development will not be misappropriated or misuse.

The Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Youth & Social Develoment ENITAN BADRU, who was represented by SAKA ABDULATEEF at Play For Literacy Football Tourney said that government is willing to partner with corporate bodies to promote grassroots sports development.

 The convener of the event Ifeoma Adibe who is also the Executive Director of Youth & Change Initiative (NGO) said that the initiative is designed to mobilize corporate bodies in a drive to create awareness and support the campaign illiteracy in Nigeria through sports.

Some of the corporate participants like Microsoft and HP said sports development is   part of their corporate social responsibility.
