Stop Eating Bats - Director Of Centre For Disease Control Tell Nigerians

Communities in Nigeria who eat bats, chimpanzee and antelope have been advised to desist from consumption of such delicacies so as to contain the spread of Ebola Virus.

The Director of the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, Professor Abdulsalami, Nasidi gave the advice at a joint news conference to provide an update on the case of Ebola involving a Liberian man.

He also called on communities that worship such animals to conform with set rules to prevent indiscriminate spread of the disease.

The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Doctor Jide Idris appealed to traditional and faith-based healing Homes not to admit persons who show symptoms of the virus.
