Governor Abiola Ajimobi today in Ibadan said the administration has empowered over 1,000 women to boost their economic status and activities.

He stressed that his government will continue to advance the course of women and continually place them at the front burner of our policies.

He stated that his administration has done more than the affirmative action of giving women 35 per cent participation in governance with 3 female commissioners and 20 Special Advisers/Senior Special Assistants/Special Assistants to the Executive Governor.

While stating that women heads the legislature and the judiciary in the stateHe noted that it is important that women are giving the chance and not limited in any way from performing optimally in the task of uplifting their society.
